Menopause Study

For Black women who are interested in contributing to reseach on Menopause
Here's your opportunity to participate in a study.

Dear Nushape Publication,

I am a research assistant at the University of Texas at Austin School of Nursing. I am responsible for the recruitment of African American women between the ages of 40-60 for a national internet-based menopause study. The reason why the study is so important is because the majority of the information about menopausal symptoms and treatments is based on white women participating in studies. Clinicians need to know more about the menopausal experience of women of other races so they can find better treatments for these symptoms. This study provides that opportunity.

I believe your organization may be able to help my group in two ways:
1) Since it is an internet-based study, if your organization is able to post the study's announcement, which I have attached, please let me know. Or if you are able to promote participation for the study in some other way please let me know. Please make me aware of any fees that may be associated with announcing our study.
2) If you have any other suggestions about how we can disseminate information to African American woman on a national scale, such as through conferences, women's expos, other organizations, etc., please let me know.

I am so happy to know that there are organizations like your's informing Black women about different health issues. Your efforts are appreciated. I hope to hear from you soon.
